Once again we will be selling our famous funnel cakes at the Orange Lions Carnival. Due Hurricane Ike the carnival has been postponed to November 5-8 & 12-15.
The Bridge City Lions club would like to thank DG Harold Yost, VDG Charles Tarver, District 2-S5, and all the members of all the clubs who have assisted our club and the citizens of Bridge City in this time of need in our community. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
The Bridge City Lions is an active participant in the Orange Lions Club Carnival held each fall in Orange, Texas. The Bridge City Lions Club proudly operates the funnel cake concession at the fair. This is the major fund raiser for the club and enables the club to give four $500 scholarships to deserving high school seniors each year.
The Bridge City Lions Club also provides eye care for needy citizens of the Bridge City and Orangefield communities. Eye related services range from providing eyeglasses to assisting persons receive needed eye care through the Lions Eye Bank.
A long range goal of the club is to enable a child to go to the Texas Lions Camp at Kerrville, Texas.
The Bridge City Lions Club has also been active in community projects sponsored by the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce.
We also have a lion-shaped moonwalk that is available for rental. It will be delivered and set up by our club. It is a popular addition to any birthday party. Kids love to romp and stomp in it. Call or email any of our club officers for information.
